| Introduction | If you ask me to describe myself with one word, I choose to say thinker, but I would also feel the will to say that I'm a seeker, ever since I can remember I'm a thinker seeking for answers to main questions that I've always kept, like the one I consider to be the biggest "why this all exists", among others that are also important to me like "is reality itself an experiment made by other beings" or "what is the universe about". When I was a child I used to enjoy very much the few science programs on tv that were available at that time, but unfortunately I also used to "learn" pseudoscience on tv. I'm a skeptic today, but that's a thing I learned to be by the age nineteen, that's more or less the time I learned to really think scientifically, humans' senses are very likely to fail, reality happened to be much more complex than our senses will ever detect, and that's why the scientific method is so much important to be applied. |
| Interests | I'm interested in astrophysics and particle physics, I often read about it on what I consider to be main sources on internet (NASA, Cern, ESA, LIGO...) and books. My hobbies include movies, entertaining videos on youtube, computer and console games, reading or commenting science posts on internet, exploring computer simulations related to space physics, writing or translating scientific articles to Portuguese for facebook's public etc... |
| Favorite movies | The Lord Of The Rings 1, 2 and 3. Contact. Interstellar. |
| Favorite music | I can't think of any favorite music, I just enjoy listening to many types of music, mostly the symphonic ones (with no voice). |
| Favorite books | Albert Einstein's Relativity: The Special and the General Theory. Freud's The Future of an Illusion. Carl Sagan's The Demon-Haunted World. Carl Sagan's The Varieties of Scientific Experience. Malala Yousafzai's I am Malala. Richard Dawkins's The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution. Neil deGrasse Tyson's Origins: Fourteen Billion Years of Cosmic Evolution. |
