| Introduction | My name is Tyler Burns and I am an atmospheric scientist (meteorologist) with a B.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington and a M.S. degree in Geosciences (with a concentration in applied meteorology) from Mississippi State University. I worked at the University of Washington as a student assistant for over two years where the focus of my work was processing satellite data on tropical cyclones (hurricanes, typhoons, etc.) in order to create a complete, ten year worldwide record of intense storms. While I am deeply interested tropical cyclones, I have always had a passion for teaching, especially atmospheric science and calculus. |
