Introduction Nearly 40 years ago, I took a night class in high school to learn to sew. My day schedule did not leave any time for home economics where we learned to sew back then. My grandmother sewed and I had always wanted to make a quilt. But the first 30 years were taken up with clothes, curtains, all kinds of sewing projects and finally 10 years ago I made my first quilt - a queen size Irish Chain. I've been trying something new ever since. I had the wonderful experience of teaching a quilt class in San Luis Potosi', Mexico last summer in a wonderful little quilt shop. I have taught workshops on time management and put it to use in my family, my earlier work and my quilting. I love to do a lot of things and we travel a lot now that we are retired, so making the most of my day is important to me. I love to encourage others to do whatever they love and find the time to do it.
