Introduction	I started this blog because my writing was getting rusty. The title refers to how this blog is a space for me to talk about various topics that interest me. On the other side I am kind of a contrarian. You know, one of those people that is anti-everything. Therefore, I will probably write a lot of critical rantings about radical poltics, sociology, music, food, wine, beer, movies, sports, and whatever gets me going. I have multiple identities that vary in salience depending on the circumstances. I'm a happily married adjunct sociology professor that is sort of a music geek. Politically I call myself a recolutionary socialist. Philosophically I'm a Marxist and a Pragmatist. I like to watch sports because they distract me from what is important. One thing I have learned is that important does not always mean more worthwhile.
