| Favorite Books | To Kill A Mockingbird (I read it every year ~). I will read anyone's biography or memoir. Food memoirs are particularly fun (Laurie Colwin is the master). Anything funny draws me in: I love David Sedaris and Anne Lamott. When I am not reading nonfiction, which is most of the time, I prefer domestic fiction. If I ever meet Anne Tyler I can die happily. She is my literary role model. When I write, I imagine that she is my audience. I own every Tyler book ever published, but Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant remains my favorite. |
