| Introduction | I'm having a slightly, completely and utterly inspired, creative moment! Have you had times like that? That light bulb moment when you see something that makes you stop. Maybe you take a photo, make a note, call someone or find that you suddenly breathe more easily? I have moments like I mentioned, where my eyes gleam like a child in a sweet shop and I want to give up everything to bake, sew, paint, collect and continue to be creative. My name is Ruth. Inspiration started in my kitchen…many years ago…where I would collect recipes and beg my Mum to let me make a mess in her domain while I experimented and dreamed up dishes of deliciousness. Over the years I have collected aprons and gadgets and cooked dishes and sweet treats for those who I have had the privilege to meet. And I have learned so much. SO much. Not just in my kitchen but through the inspiration of friends who are photographers, musicians, thinkers and sharers in all that gives me those light bulb moments. I have learned to love colour; not have an opinion too quickly; to stop and learn but to also grab opportunities with both hands. Now it’s time for me to share all I have learnt and am still learning. |
