About me

Location Southeast Missouri, United States
Introduction I'm a 50-something grandmother living on a small farm which has been in our family for over 100 years. We have three children and six grandchildren scattered over three states, and visits from the grandkids are highlights of our lives. We are members of the United Methodist Church, and I work on the Outreach Committee and food pantry. Our farm borders a wooded area and we have an abundance of wildlife on our property. We rent the bulk of our acres out for row cropping - usually corn, wheat and soybeans, - and we raise a couple of steers each year for our freezers as well as helping our son with his small flock of Katahdin sheep. I had brain and neck surgery in 2003 for Chiari I Malformation, and I also have myasthenia gravis, but I maintain a good quality of life. My favorite expression is, "Life is good."
