My blogs
| Introduction | I am the International Student Coordinator for the Department of Literature, which includes both the College Writing Program and the Writing Center. Working across languages and cultures to help people understand each other better is my passion. I've been doing this type of work in academic settings for more than ten years, most of that in the field of writing. In the Writing Center, my main roles are training, advising, and developing materials. Outside of the Writing Center, I teach a section of College Writing, oversee LIT 160 (a course for new international undergraduates), and take part in a number of initiatives and activities related to multilingual students on campus. Outside of campus, I am a proud member of the Second Language Writing Committee of the Conference of College Composition and Communication, an amateur symphonic violinist, and happy mother of almost-four-year-old Xan. |
