| Introduction | Maureen Spencer, RN, M.Ed. CIC is the Infection Preventionist Consultant at Universal Health Services, providing consultative and educational resources for their 25 acute care hospitals in the US. She was recently the manager of Infection Control Unit at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) in Boston and prior to that was the Director of Infection Control at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has a Bachelors in Nursing and a Masters of Education and is certified in infection control. Maureen was president of the APIC-NE Chapter in 1981 and served on many local and national APIC committees. |
