| Introduction | Through growing up in a Christian home, I came to an early understanding of Christ and the sacrifice He made for me. Consequently, Jesus became important to me when I personally accepted Him as my Savior when I was seven years old. However, it was only after many years of being stagnant in my walk with Christ that I desired to live my life entirely for Him. During a weekend retreat shortly after my sixteenth birthday, God made it clear that He wanted me to serve Him no matter what the cost. As a result, comfort was no longer my goal. Rather, I wanted to fully live out what the Apostle Paul said, "For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain." |
