| Introduction | I live alone in a nice leafy suburb in the south east of Berlin. Many years ago I lived in India - and regret ever leaving but that is another story. I like cycling and go to a local health studio at least once a week to help me with back and leg problems. I like traveling , reading, cinema and being in good company with entertaining comments over a good meal. |
| Interests | Learning more about computers and software in relation to teaching methods, cinema, eating in restaurants, good wine and beers from German and the Czech Republic. |
| Favorite movies | I can't really list them. I like Hollywood spectaculars just for the noise, colors and silly stories.I like some of the black and white classics even some silent films and I am trying to get to like Germany films but I prefer the way the French make films! |
| Favorite music | This is easy. Western classical of all kinds. These range from the middle age composers to the start of the classic period with Haydn and Mozart and I have a real feeling for anything from Beethoven. I also like Wagner much to the dismay of some friends and have seen all his operas more than once. I am now listening to more music from composers in the last century and even those writing now within the general rubric of modern classical music. At the moment I am listening to a piece by Berlioz direct from BBC Radio 3 via my computer connection. |
| Favorite books | Again I can't list them. I read a lot and at the moment I am reading more in German. Just novels in order to get to grips with the language better. I am also trying to learn Spanish from a book with CD Roms. Problem is the time and motivation to open the book. |
