| Introduction | After 40 years in the business world, I decided to 'semi-retire' and now live in a desert community just outside of Las Vegas. Access to the Sin City and to the rural communities surrounding Vegas adds a unique perspective that I hope to share with you. Personal: I am 61 years old and married to a lovely woman who is truly my soul mate. We are 'empty nesters' as our 5 children are all grown, out on their own and leading productive, happy lives. I have several hobbies, such as crossword and Sudoku games, but my passion is gourmet cooking. (Recipes are always welcome!) I was born in Southern California, but my parents moved to Oregon when I was 3 years old where I was raised in small logging and fishing towns. Some of the diverse business positions I have held over the years include Asst. VP for a Savings and Loan, Gen. Mgr. of a car dealership group and International Supply manager for a major thrift department store. I have also worked with several prominent charities in fund raising, and remain involved in charitable activities today. My two pet projects are children's charities (such as Big Brothers Big Sisters) and with Hospice Care, a much needed resource for our seniors. |
