| Introduction | I've been a librarian for many years - some might argue too many years - and it is only one of many career disguises I've worn. The main themes in all those endeavors are the same: empower people through education; foster critical thinking; and steer them to factual, accurate information so they may make informed decisions. So what other careers? Waitress, lifeguard at a Marine base (not as fun as it sounds), educator at a humane society, massage therapist, professional organizer, computer teacher, mosaic artist. And next? Who knows. It's all an adventure. |
