| Introduction | I'm late to this blogging thing, but what the heck. This (teaching writing) is the third act of my life. The first was a bizarre stint in a religious commune in the early 70s (which I write about in my memoir, "So Late, So Soon"), the second was my career as a journalist (about 17 years), and finally this mid-life thing as a teacher at a small liberal arts college in Ohio, of all places. I'm married to a sweet man, the mother of a college-aged son, and my life is full of books, animals, young people, and trees. |
