| Introduction | "A trained ape can know an awful lot of what is going on in this world, just by punching on his mouse for a relatively modest cost!" ā Donald Rumsfeld, June 9, 2001. So we tested Don's theory scientifically, placing 100 "trained apes" in front of computer terminals for three months, with only food and exercise breaks. Did they learn much about the world? You be the judge -- they produced the following collaborative statement (along with a tremendous stench): "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call 'The Gazornenplotz Zone'." |

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?
I would sleep very soon after seeing that star, but only fitfully. My dreams would dwell on the cruelty and amorality of the universe -- it's wanton destruction of whole civilizations in the blink of a supernova.
