Introduction | I am the Assistant Regional Advisor of the NJ chapter of SCBWI. As a Middle Grade and Young Adult author, I love to write about stories which are based in reality—our world, if you will—but fantasy in nature, while most of my young adult stories are dystopian in nature but range from political thrillers to scientific issues. My goal is to change the way a young reader sees the world and to write stories which will stay with them forever. If you have a passion for reading and/or writing, this just might be the blog for you. |
Interests | Well, let's see... I love writing, and reading, of course, going to the movies, being in nature, Dave Matthews, and music in general. |
Favorite Movies | The Sixth Sense - awesome movie!, Even though it is tragically sad and my friend Dana wanted to kill me for making her watch it... 21 Grams, Little Miss Sunshine - it went all the places you thought, "Nah, it won't go there, " But it did!, Spanglish, Shrek - the first one!, and my all time favorite - The Princess Bride. It's hilarious every time! |
Favorite Music | Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Jack Johson, Donavan Frankenreiter, Blues Traveler, The Wall Flowers, Cat Stevens, CSN&Y, of course Bruce Springsteen, and a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. |
Favorite Books | Where to begin... My Sister's Keeper, The Rapture of Canaan, I Know why the Caged Bird Sings, The Red Tent, The Big Wave, Walk Two Moons, Out of the Dust, The Giver, and Any Harry Potter book... I know I am forgetting a ton! |
