| Introduction | A former twentieth-century literary scholar, who focused on the American women’s and GLBTQIA’s rights social movements, has found a new “home” in nineteen century England. In addition to studying the socio-cultural discourse related to gender and sexuality, I am also interested in the relationship between sensational literature and sensational journalism, narratives of sexual danger, as well as affect studies.
