| Introduction | Thynna Ngangura is a new author from the D.R. of Congo. She was born in 1976 in Rome, Italy then lived her early toddler years in Belgium. Her parents moved back to Kinshasa, D.R. Congo after her father finished his Ph. D. in Philosophy and Letters in the early 1980's. She grew up in Kinshasa and later, after studying Biology and Chemistry in High School, she was sent to Belgium to start a University program in Molecular Biology (1993-1998). As soon as she graduated with her B. Sc. degree, she was hired as a Teaching Assistant in BioStatistics at the same University in Namur, Belgium. Then 2 years later, in 2000, she migrated alone to the USA to start another chapter of her life which led her to become the writer she always wanted to be. She fluently speaks English, French, Spanish, Kiswahili and Lingala, but mostly writes in French and English. She is also slowly starting to compose in Spanish. Thynna lives in Miami Beach, Florida where she works as a Chemist in Biotechnology. |
