Introduction	I am a U.S. citizen living in Taiwan....the Republic of China to be exact. Not to be confused with the PEOPLE'S Republic of China (mainland). I am recording a little online journal thingy (I think the kids call 'em blogs?) for friends, family, and other interested folks. My mission statement? I am seeking to enhance my ability to love. I want to move with compassion. I am humble student of life and a critical thinker. I am interested in politics, history, and the play of power. I want little...dare I say it? Dialectic action...of ideas….and otherwise. Is she a little self-righteous? Probably. ;-) When I am not a student at an institution or working for the man (haha), you can find me dancing, reading, conversating, and maybe on a good day, after too many beers…singing.
