| Introduction | Voyageurs National Park Association was formed in 1965 to help create Voyageurs National Park. We continue today to protect and support the Park. For example, we preserve the Park from development by raising money to buy private properties inside the boundaries of the Park, when there are willing sellers. We directly assist the Park by organizing volunteers to help maintain its trails and providing funding for Park projects, such as training for crews to restore the Ellsworth Rock Gardens. We also educate decision makers and the public about threats that face the Park, such as inadequate budgets, air pollution, and invasive species.
