I'm a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and love to give out carseat advice (whether you want it or not). I've learned so much because of a friend who was kind enough to give me advice even though I wasn't looking for it and b/c of her my kids are much safer than before. So in return I now share my knowledge, not because I think someone is a bad parent if they're not following best practice, but because I think all parents deserve to know what best practice is. And because every child should be properly restrained according to best practice. Remember a 'step up' in the carseat world is actually a step down in safety.
