| Introduction | I'm an intermittent cook with too many cookbooks, a kaffir lime, mango and an avocado tree, and little time to cook. I've a camera, car, an insatiable appetite, and my stomach rumbles that it's 7 o'clock somewhere. I've sampled BBQ across the South; Cuban, Indian and Chilean food in chef's homes, and 1-3 star Michelin restaurants abroad. I’m not a picky trendy eater. I’ve tried all sorts of “protein”- satay at peddler’s pushcarts in Thailand, pig roasts on Easter Island, and raw seafood on Palau, leaving behind a trail of empty Gatorade and Imodium bottles.
