| Introduction | My name is Aaron and I'm passionate about enjoying good craft beer and making good craft beer. To me good craft beer is just not the really fancy, expensive, exclusive barrel projects, one-offs, sours, etc, but also a more "regular" beer that is done exceptionally well. In my opinion beer brewed with the primary intention of making the beer as tasty and enjoyable as possible is craft beer. I've been very passionate about craft beer for around 8 years and it shows no signs of stopping. I've been very passionate about brewing my own beer at home since May of 2008 when I decided to take the plunge and buy the starter equipment kit from my local homebrew store. I obsessed for 2 weeks learning all I could about malt extract, steeping grains, hops, techniques and processes before I crafted and brewed my very first recipe and from then on I was hooked. I am currently studying BJCP hoping to certify in a few months and actively compete in various BJCP sanctioned homebrew competitions. |
