| Introduction | LOSCO and the Local Church through partnerships and Networks with other like-minded NGOs and Government entities was established to promote community transformation. Therefore LOSCO will take all necessary initiatives /measures towards empowerment and self-determinations of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves towards poverty alleviation. To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable people in Uganda socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for purposes of sustaining their lives and conditions specially the women and children as well. |
| Interests | LOSCO with the Church is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group the poor, socially and economically deprived people. To bring social reforms in communities through training and sensitisation of individuals and masses To promote social Justice in all spheres of life such as education, health, recreation, and employment, child protection and trainings in positive parenting and rights and responsibilities of children and PWDs. To motivate and empower people in various socio-economic sectors for their arousal and working for community welfare and betterment of humanity. Women empowerment organizing, mobilizing, developing capacity and skills and creating provision of inclusion in decision making process in family and community enabling them to become economically and socially independent. To seek and receive subscriptions, donations and other supports from persons, institutions or Organizations both from home and abroad and use the same for the purposes of the Organization; however for receiving and utilizing any foreign donation or contributions, or support for the organization shall abide by all provisions laid down in the Foreign Donation (Voluntary activities) Regulation Ordinance – 1978 and Rule made there under. To do all such other things as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of those objects. |
