IntroductionMy name is Steve McAusland, I was born in Scotland and have lived most of my life in the Rugby area. When I was a boy I was interested in birds and wildlife, then along came senior school, college, my career, children and this fell by the wayside! However this interest was recently reborn during a long period off work due to a serious illness. Now well on the road to recovery, my passion for birds and wildlife grows daily. Thanks to the internet, my new birder friends, joining the RSPB and the Warwicksire Wildlife Trust, I can look forward to hopefully many years of being outside in all weathers enjoying whatever turns up? I also spend at least a total of 5 weeks a year holidaying in North Devon either at weekends or for weeks at a time, ideal for my passion that is birding. My local patch is Brandon Marsh a Warwickshire Wildlife Trust site, which is situated between Rugby and Coventry. Other regular places I visit are, Draycote Water - Rugby RSPB Arne in Poole - Dorset, Christchurch Bay - Dorset, Hengistbury Head - Dorset The Exe estuary - South Devon and the River Taw Estuary - North Devon.
