Introduction	I am a member of staff in the School of Design in the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design at Swinburne University of Technology on the Hawthorn campus. My current position is Program Director of the Bachelor of Design (Communication Design, Digital Media Design, Branded Environments, Photomedia and UX Interaction Design), I teach into a 2nd year core subject, Contemporary Design Issues and supervise postgraduate research students. My PhD research project about DIY culture in post war Australia was completed at the University of Melbourne in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies and the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.
