| Introduction | Paul first met Kid outside an East London hotspot whilst handing out flyers for their respective club promotions. Before long, Paul had hijacked him to DJ at his parties and bam, they became buddies. Years of remixing for each others (and others) releases, sharing studios and many a tuna salad, they now find themselves gloriously pursuing that fusion of powerful, cut-up electro funk and deep discotech. Kid claims to be handling the Dirtbox side of things, leaving Paul to be the, er, Disco half naturally. Working their machinery to within an inch of its life, the first release, imaginatively titled Disco Dirtbox mk4 is that quintessential bouncing cut up disco. Disco Dirtbox are the ones to watch with their new 'Soundstream' influenced release for Ism in 2011 Now that's what I call disco. |
