| Introduction | My name is Joan Borgelt aka The Gov. I'm retired and loving every minute of it! I am a wife to Randy (38 years), mother to 3 grown children and a grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a great grandmother to 4. I have been scrapbooking and paper crafting for 25+ years. My love for nostalgia, vintage finds and patterned paper (I’m an official paper hoarder) have kept me artistically intrigued. I have a variety of styles and skills and will try any technique at least once. Hip/Modern – I like trying new techniques and my color choices are bold and assorted. Romantic – Distressing and inking are my favorite techniques. I love layering paper and if I can find a way to use ribbon and flowers on a boy layout I will. Shabby-Chic – I love all things vintage, well worn and peeling. Experimenting with mixing colors, patterns and textures is very forgiving. I have learned that a mistake can be taken as part of the look I was going for. |
