Introduction	I'm a journalist, which means I scrounge for work and get paid a pittance. I don't mind, though. Money has never and will never be important to me. What I'm mostly interested in as a writer is the absurdity present in the world, the everyday back-and-forth of the rhythm of life. These are the real stories, in fiction and non-fiction, that inspire me. The drunk man in the corner of the bar, surrounded by plastic shopping bags, the old man with a newspaper and cup of creamed coffee, the enigmatic among us. Mostly I'm down with the passionate, people who burn brightly and who yawn sparingly. I like looking at the world through my eyes.
