About me

Introduction	Wife. Mom. Teacher. Student. Friend. Daughter. Sister. There are many parts of me that make me who I am and keep me incredibly busy and wonderfully happy (most of the time). Being a wife and mom are the most important part of who I am - and my husband and four children (ages 11 - 2) are amazing, supportive, and keep me grounded. Teaching is what I love to do about as much as I love to go to school (which my husband says makes me a huge geek and I suppose he is right). I love that my life is busy and I am far from perfect - guess it means I am living and learning every day. When I have time I read, because I love a great story that causes me to think and feel, and when I read and come upon a great story I want to share it with everyone - especially my students. It is selfishly rewarding to witness a student GRABBED by a book and realize a book can move them - when a one-time reluctant reader is asking for more titles as well as sharing their latest and greatest find.
