Introduction | During WWII, my father was Chief Instructor Pilot for the Navy at Pensacola, and later became the Navy’s Chief Test Pilot. I mention this because I was privileged to be taught by one of the greatest pilots and flight instructors who ever lived. In 1948 he bought a small airport north of Syracuse, in Cicero, N.Y. - that’s where I grew up and learned to fly. In 1977 I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. In 1983 I attended the US Army Flight School at Fort Rucker, AL and graduated in June of 1984. After graduation, I entered the Cobra Attack Helicopter, AH1-S(MC) transition course. I served with the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany and 10th Mountain Division at Ft Drum, NY. I hold a FAA Ground Instructor Certificate with an Advanced Rating; A Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single & Multi-Engine Land; Rotorcraft Helicopter; Instrument Helicopter Ratings. The University of the State of New York Department of Education Private School Teachers License & Syracuse University - Webmaster Website Administration Certificate. Currently, I am currently helping my son Grant get ready for his Private Pilot check ride - He will be a 3rd generation Aviator. |
