Introduction	I am a retired educator. I taught high school English; coached swimming; advised the Drill Team and Pep Squads; and much more during the time I was in the classroom. I moved on to become a counselor, an assistant principal and eventually the principal of a high school. The best part of my years in education was knowing that I was touching the lives of young people and helping them to succeed. In 1983 I started my journey as a swim official. I started as an Admin and quickly moved to the "wet" side as a starter and referee. I was privileged to work at the 1984 Olympics in the FINA tent with the athletes and coaches. Since that time I have worked on deck with novice swimmers, high school, college/university, and USA age-group and elite swimmers. It has been exciting to be the referee when such Olympic greats as Rebecca Soni, Michael Phelps, Jason Lezak, and many others have been swimming. My officiating has taken me to both Canada and Mexico to officiate at meets. It is something I truly enjoy and cannot imagine my life without this.
