| Introduction | Debbie Dickson is a wife, mother (step, foster, adoptive, biological), grandmother and social worker. Mrs. Dickson serves along side her husband, Linnie and a wonderful staff of dedicated Christians at The Shepherd's Staff, a ministry to children and families located in Montgomery, Alabama. Through the tragic death of a close friend, many years ago, God gave Debbie a most wonderful gift. That gift was two-fold: First, the ability to see each day is as a gift; recognizing that moments are to be “squeezed” and life is to be lived to the fullest. Secondly, life is to be invested and not spent. We are to “invest” in those things (people) that will outlive us. Each of us lives out those things we believe. Our lifestyles are indicative of our philosophy. Debbie has been given a great platform to put shoe leather to those ideologies handed to her on that sultry summer afternoon over thirty years ago. The Shepherd’s Story will be a bird’s eye view into the day to day at The Shepherd’s Staff and a glimpse into the heart of a servant. |
