Introduction | I've always had a sweet tooth. My grandma would (and still does) keep a stash of delicious goodies for us when we came to visit her. This became such a staple that my brother deemed these visits simply "cookie days." I remember trying my hand at baking from a very young age. I'd often wake my mom up on Saturday mornings while trying to make muffins because I couldn't figure out what fashioning a "well" in the flour mixture meant. It didn't help either that all of the traditional Italian recipes passed down from generation to generation were all sugary treats. My mom's whole family would get together after Thanksgiving to bake up a storm. These are some of my fondest memories and probably the reason I find baking so fun. This blog, for me, is kind of like a journal. I love to bake and I love to try new recipes. You never know when you'll stumble upon something so delicious you can't stop thinking about it and you shed a little tear when it's gone. Hopefully you'll find a few posts that catch your eye. Look through the pictures. Maybe try a new recipe or two. I'd love to hear your baking successes and disasters as well. Let the Adventures begin... |
