| Introduction | I am on the wrong side of 40, single, and I live near Frankfurt (Germany), where I was born. English is only my second language which I mostly learned while staying in Scotland for several months, half a life ago. I studied biology and landscape architecture, and love travelling. Now I am working as documentary filmmaker, journalist, writer and English-German translator (in no particular order). | Favorite music | Depending on my mood. Sometimes, Vivaldi,Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Smetana, Stravinky, but also Sting, Dido, Rosenstolz, Genesis, or something entirely different - like A.R. Rahman's Indian soundtracks. |
| Favorite books | Too many to list as well. Think Terry Pratchett; Robin Hobb; Douglas Adams; Bill Bryson - plus a lot of classics from Shakespeare; Lessing; Goethe via Heine to Tucholsky and Brecht. Anything well written and (at its time) unconventional is exciting for me. Anything with a sense of humour even better. |
