Observing Schizophrenia In America
My blogs
| Introduction | CLOZAPINE - It has given my son sanity for over a year. Your doctor may say it is too dangerous, but living while insane is worse!! Schizophrenia from a parent's point of view. Learning about our health care system and the disease the hard way. Watching a beautiful person struggle with the faulty information that his brain sends him about the world around us all. And, finding out after years of extreme suffering, for our son and us, that there was a medicine that would bring him back to us, but so many doctors won't use it. It is called a medicine of last resort, but it is the first one that lifted him out of Hell. If he had suceeded at suicide, we would never have known about it. I am so angry at the many doctors he has seen over the years who were supposedly "managing" his illness, with medicine that kept his psychosis just this side of full blown. There is no way to recover the lost, painful years they cost all of us. The future is not certain, but the present is a bright little oasis. |
