IntroductionI grew up just outside of Peoria, Illinois where the dirt road we lived on became impassable mud in the spring and 2 or 3 inches of dust in the summer. I left there after high school and spent a short time at the University of Minnesota where I confirmed the fact that I really wasn’t interested in pursuing a college degree no matter what the field of study. Then I spent 4 years in the Air Force where I learned enough about computers to get a job in the computer industry when I left the Air Force in 1967. After working in the computer industry in Minnesota for about 39 years for 4 different companies, I finally retired in 2006. Now I am free to play guitar, go fishing, travel, and enjoy the freedom that I never had while working for a living. I will be celebrating my 44th wedding anniversary in December this year. Altogether we have 6 grown children, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. We still live in Ham Lake, MN in the house that we had built 34 years ago and enjoy sharing it with our cat, Miss Kitty.
InterestsGuitars, fishing, computers, music, travel, watching wildlife and birds, and a variety of other interesting things that catch my attention from day to day.
Favorite moviesI haven't been to a movie in more than 15 years. I've seen more than a few movies on TV, but I consider 90% of them a waste of time. I'd rather watch a football game.
Favorite musicMerle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Tom T. Hall, The Ventures, Willie Nelson, Mason Williams, George Jones, Don WIlliams, Acker Bilk, Randy Travis, Stonewall Jackson, John Denver, and many others from the 40's through the present time.
Favorite booksCaravans by James Michner, The Big Sky by A.B. Guthrie, Catcher in the Rye, Crazy Horse, Deerslayer, To Kill a Mockingbird

All of the phone numbers have fallen out of your address book. Whose number do you look for first and why?

That's not a question. That's the answer. The question is what could be more absurd than anything you've ever seen.
