| Introduction | Once when I was five and living in Queens, I saw our Jewish superintendent in the apartment elevator carrying a box of science books with titles like "101 Experiments in Physical Science". When we reached the fourth floor, he turned, and gave them to me. Five-year-old me thought it was the best gift ever, and ever since I’ve held a great love for the Jewish population. Only a few years ago did I realize that my parents probably ordered those books and the superintendent was just delivering them to me. |
