| Introduction | Originally from Montreal (Quebec, Canada) I've been living in Tuscany in the Chianti area since 1999. I spend most of my mornings at the CGT (Università degli Studi di Siena) where I'm studying Geology. In the afternoon, I teach English and French. I make full use of today’s e-learning tools with my students, teens and adults, starting with streaming audio and video podcasts to instant messaging and blogs. I also firmly believes in the integration of web-based material in the learning process as it offers access to a variety of content, both academic and general, but often a bit less mainstream and non conventional. I’m passionate about: my husband’s sculptures (www.pieromengozzi.com), photography, and I’ve recently made two new friends with Dreamweaver and Fireworks and am enjoying creating a bit of Web Design. I hope the skills I’ve acquired through the years will help me contribute, in some small measure, to the “global communication process” through the development of personal websites and blogs. |
| Interests | My special interests are: the food crisis, immigration and integration problems, environment, and the learning process of a foreign language (I teach both English and French, speak Italian, Spanish and some German). |
| Favorite movies | Too many to make a list. |
| Favorite music | Just about eveything, from jazz & blues, rock, folk & country, classical music & opera, house & rap - but not more than 10 minutes of heavy metal. |
| Favorite books | Too many to make a list. |
When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
No! I'm just thinking: Should I go jogging or snuggle a bit more next to my husband?
