| Introduction | I was diagnosed with DSRCT in May 2008. I have been treated primarily at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX by Dr. Jonathan Trent. I received some treatments at Emory Crawford-Long in Atlanta, GA under Dr. Gina D'Amato. I have now received 10 rounds of chemotherapy, each on 21 day cycles. Round #1 was a treatment of "VIA" (Vincristine, Ifosfamide, and Adriamycin), rounds 2-8 were only "IA", and rounds 9 and 10 were only high dose ifosfamide. I underwent a very successful surgery at MSKCC with Dr. Laquaglia on February 12, 2009. Since, the surgery I have been on a regimen of Irinotecan, Temodar, and Avastin. I will remain on this regimen until I begin the 8h9 clinical trial in New York in late summer '09. |
