Introduction	I am a University Administrator (Vice Chancellor for Research & Economic Development) and a Professor of Biology at the University of Missouri Kansas City by occupation but I am a motorcyclist at heart. I live about 50 miles from work, so my daily commute is a nice morning ride on the bike. If I lived any closer I'd feel cheated out of a ride. If I lived any further away, I might just keep on riding! There is nothing better than arriving at work with a clear head, a smile on my face, and the promise of another 50 mile ride at the end of the day. That fact alone puts a bright spot on even the crappiest of days at the office!
