| Introduction | I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA as the fourth of six kids in an awesome family. Upon graduating from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in IN, I headed out to California for grad school at UC Berkeley. I completed an MS in Chemical Engineering and joined a great environmental consulting firm in the SF Bay Area, where I worked my way up to a Manager position. After seven years in the corporate world, I left my very comfortable lifestyle in CA and joined the Peace Corps for a multitude of reasons. I will be serving as a Small Enterprise Development Volunteer in Kenya from November 2008 through January 2011. I love mountain and marathon running, with a personal best of 2:40 (on the flats, of course). I also love swimming, cycling, learning languages, and spend countless hours pouring over maps and reading travel books. |
