Like Chester Gould’s Dick Tracy, Pep Proper is a square-jawed sleuth who believes in the American dream, and lives in hot pursuit of those who seek to “destroy” it. However, Pep’s vision of reality is vastly skewed by delusions of spy-agent greatness in a city she believes to be still under the insidious control of the U.S.S.R and its network of spies. |
