Introduction | As a feline consultant for a local vet clinic and caregiver to six Chartreux cats I recently expanded my interest in furries to teddy bear construction and logically turned to their inspiration, the bears themselves. In previous incarnations, I have enjoyed a wide variety of experiences from producing opera to teaching school, from working as assistant to college deans to programing early word processing systems, and from attending Cat Shows in Paris to participating in oceanographic research cruises in the Gulf of Mexico. |
Interests | Citrus grower, honey bees, all things feline, current events and science. |
Favorite Movies | Love, love movies as varied as "How to Train Your Dragon" to classics like original "Seven Samurai" |
Favorite Music | Celtic music, classical 17th, 18th century...some movie composers, operas of Mozart, Puccini and Verdi |
Favorite Books | I long ago as a teacher of adolescents discovered great young adult fiction...works by authors such as Madelaine L'Engle and continued today by Harry Potter's creator Sue Rowland. I still feel that much of the best fiction written is produced for young adults. In my youth I was most inspired by LOTR and now in my grey havens days, it still speaks to me. |
