| Introduction | I'm 44 years old, and I've spent most of those years in northeast Oklahoma. While I will always love Oklahoma, I am so proud to be a Texan now. I graduated from Northeastern State University in May of 2004 with a Mass Communications degree. At NSU I was the editor of "The Northeastern." I wrote a weekly column for that newspaper which is my inspiration for this blog. After graduating from college, I worked at a local TV station for two years. During that time I met Greg. We dated in Tulsa for about four months, and then he took off traveling for his job. We married in September of 2006, and we welcomed Isabel Dawn to our little family in January of 2008.In August 2009, I began a new career as a teacher. Teaching is truly my calling. In December 2017, I graduated from Lamar University with a master's degree in Educational Leadership. We love Katy, Texas, and and all that it entails. Summer heat, swimming, and all the southern things! |

I would never forget to pack my Kindle, my toothbrush, or my water bottle. I would probably forget to pack my contacts!
