Introduction	I live in the city of Chicago in a studio that is literally the size of a shoe box. I grow food, make bread and cheese, preserve and ferment things, and occasionally get crafty in an attempt to organize my shoe box. This blog is a record of my attempts to live a life with the slightest possible carbon footprint, to waste less and want less, and to be as self-sufficient as possible. This blog is also a testament to the fact that it is very possible to eat well, to have a diet free of pesticides and hormones, and to support local industry while having very little income. Suggestions, thoughts, comments and musings are all welcome. I am new to the blogosphere and would love to connect. Best wishes.
