| Introduction | A perpetually injured club runner turned keen amateur cyclist in 2014... 2017 was my breakthrough year; the season highlight being a silver AG UCI medal at the World Gran Fondo Championships, Albi, France. April 2018 I was hit by a car whilst out training and then we had the 'COVID times'. In 2021 I started to race again at the end of the season; the highlights of which were a National Title at The Emergency Services Championships & a bronze medal in the Chrono at the UCI World Amateur TT Championships. To highlight the highs and lows of life and sport, I was hit by another motorist in 2022 sustaining a traumatic brain injury. 'All in the Fullness of Time' offers an honest account of my rehab journey and finding my way in life again. By day I am a Health, Fitness & Wellbeing Specialist at Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service, with a particular interest in sports nutrition, sports psychology, animal therapy inside and outside of the workplace & the general appliance of science to sport. |
