| Introduction | Seeking the ever elusive Mother-of-the-Year Award and slowly realizing it's not a contest after all. Some days I qualify with a high score. Others, I miss the mark entirely. The best that this mom can aspire to as a parent is to not completely screw my kids up along the way. But there is no prize. And the points I earn trying? I'm the only one keeping track. In the end I won't win or lose when they just remember the good stuff, the stuff I did right. I just hope that they do, and that they get over the rest of it! |
