About me

Gender Male
Occupation Barista, Coffee consultant and trainer, co-owner of The Coffee Collective Roastery
Location Copenhagen, Denmark
Introduction I started as a barista in London in 2001. A year later I bought a home espresso machine and got seriously into coffee. It became almost an obsession. I read all the books I could find and spent hours on the internet looking for information. After a short while I decided to work with coffee professionally full time. In 2004 not long after joining Estate Coffee as macchinesto I won the Danish Barista Championship and won bronze in the World Barista Championship (WBC) in Trieste. I became a member of the Danish National Barista Team (together with Peter) and our team won the Nordic Barista Cup (NBC) in Iceland in 2004. I coached the team in 2005 at the NBC in Norway and was a team member again in 2006 at the NBC in Denmark. After training for over a year I won the World Barista Championship (WBC) in 2006 in Bern, Switzerland. A great victory for myself, but also for Peter Dupont who had roasted and blended the espressoblend with me. Since then I’ve been doing barista training, shows, events and consultancy all around the world. Today I am proud co-owner of The Coffee Collective, where I handle training, sales and PR/Marketing.
