| Introduction | Amber Anderson, H.A.V.E. Executive Director & Head Chef Instructor Chef Amber has combined her love for the culinary arts with her compassion for those less fortunate. She has built the H.A.V.E. Cafe into a respected dining establishment while bettering the lives of hundreds of men and women living in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside community. Amber has over 30 years of catering experience and over the past 17 years she has catered for the homeless through St. Barnabas Church, Living Room, Homeless Connect Vancouver and Homeless Connect New Westminster. Amber is the President of the West End Business Association in New Westminster and a Member of the New Westminster Artists Society. In 2010 Amber was nominated for the prestigious YWCA Women of Distinction Awards. In 2014 Amber was awarded the New Westminster Platinum Awards Citizen of the Year. In February 2015 Amber was awarded Canadian Association of food service Professionals Leadership award for outstanding contributions in community Services and leadership. |
